Romans 1:5-6
"Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;"
Paul is speaking to the Romans at this point in time. Through Christ they have received grace and apostleship because of their obedience to the faith. Not only were they faithful, but they were faithful among all nations for His name. It is only through Him they received grace and apostleship.
Grace - Strongs (5485) - charis - graciousness of manner or act, especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life, acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace, joy, liberty, pleasure, thanks worthy
Apostleship - Strongs (651) - apostole - commission, set apart, send
Lord, thank You for calling us and bestowing upon us grace. Help us as Your hands and feet to be obedient to the faith among all nations. Weed out those who tear Your name down in the public eye. Cause Your truth to be ever more evident. Lord, we need You now more than ever before. I know people seek, but yet they don't want to be found out. Let Your name be found among those who are seeking. Amen.
