Galatians 5:1

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

Standfast - A rigid or unyielding position
Liberty - Freedom from captivity, confinement or physical restraint
Free - Enjoying personal rights or liberty, as a person who is not in slavery
Entangled - To confuse or perplex
Yoke - An agency of oppression, subjection, servitude, etc.
Bondage - The state of being bound by or subjected to some external power or control

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

With freedom we often think free of all rule, free to do whatever we want, freedom to hurt ourselves and others with no conscience. We are in liberty by which Christ has set us free. Instead of being confused and perplexed in the midst of oppression and under the subjection of our sin, of others, of ourselves, we become liberated in the freedom by which Christ has made possible through His death and resurrection.

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
