Corn Fest 2006

Dekalb's biggest annual event is CornFest. It is like a mini-state fair. It is really small, but almost everyone goes. It was the weekend of the 25th. Friday night we walked around just to see what it was all about. Saturday we went to a bike auction that was hosted and to get free corn on the cob. They had this steam-engine that heated the water to boil the corn. The corn was there in abundance. Aaron got a bike, but it ended up being too short for him. The handle bars wouldn't come up. Oh well, a waste of $10. Here are pictures:

Love the photos. Of course I thought we might see Aaron with the too short bike.

Sounds like you are really feeling at home with your running trails, festivals and all. Praying for a strong church home for you as well.
Shalom, Kim
