Prayer For a Friend

Please pray for my friend's brother, Ereling. He is having to deal with cancer for the third time in his life. It has been his struggle most of his adult life. To watch my friend and her brother, they are two peas in a pod. He is a special guy and needs a special touch.

Lord, I lift Ereling to You right now. I know the family is crying, "WHY HIM, WHY ERELING?" Lord, in this time of sorrow, bring peace. Give them a comfort that passes all understanding. They are tired. They are weak. But Lord, You are strong and all things are in Your hands. Give the doctors wisdom to know the next step. Give the family wisdom to decide the next step. Give them a special touch from You. Be with them during this time when they may feel deserted. Lord, may this be a time of driving all of us to our knees. When things don't make sense and all you want to do is cry out with a pounding fist, teach us to first seek You as Abba Father. My heart cries out for healing in Erelings life, even though in our human eyes it seems like the impossible. Let us not give up hope, but to hold ever tighter to You. You are The Redeemer, the Healer, the Alpha and Omega. Nothing happens that you have not ordained. Lord, I have no more words to say. My heart just cries out with no words. Lord, be with Ereling and his family in this present time. We love You and trust Your perfect plan even when we don't understand. Amen.
